  1. 1. I'm not sure what to make of the attraction Sarah has for Evan. I'm not sure if I was in her shoes I'd feel the same way because we/she hardly knows him yet. Yes, it seems like an okay kind of guy, but it just seems too sudden for her to be really attracted to him.

    2. Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't the area on the outskirts of an Indian Reservation and most of the place inhabited by those of the tribe? If this is the case, it makes sense to me, because many of the younger generations of Native Americans want to leave the reservations and find homes elsewhere. Same can be said for a lot of small town communities. Could just be that folks who live there would rather live some place with more people and atmosphere. Small town life isn't for everyone (says the girl who lives in a small town).

I'm suspicious of Evan. There's definitely something more to him then we've been told so far. His suddenly popping up in places gives me the creeps too. And since we just learned that he comes from Utah, one of the four corner states, my trust towards him is tenuous at present.

  2. Hey guys! Sorry I missed out last week! I was on a ski trip and wireless and I weren't meshing on a consistent basis!

    Great questions!

    1. I'm excited to see where the relationship goes! I think he (and the relationship-lol) has got some great potential to go either way... swoon worthy or spooky! There's a definite vibe between them happening and I'm interested to see where it goes and if it's naturally or supernaturally imposed!!

    2. I completely understand it and I'm sure many can relate to the feeling of wanting to leave and experience life elsewhere.

    3. I trust him in the sense that the book is still introducing characters and mystery so I'm looking forward to see how his character shakes out. Do I trust him? I don't trust anyone at the moment in the story...In a good way! :)

    2. Swoon-worthy or spooky. One or the other? Or maybe both :)

    3. Thanks Danielle! It was great but went by way too fast... especially as I sat in class on Tuesday from 5-10pm wondering how winter break could already be over! I'm sure you can relate!!

And thanks Joanne for sharing your story with us!

  3. 1) Strong feelings, way to fast. But they could be caused by something supernatural. Whatever Sarah is, seems to have a draw to Evan. I am not 100% sure how I feel about the situation.

    2) Sarah says that is is boring now that most of her friends have went off to college, and I think that is how must small town kids feel. Many want to see bigger and better things. But it also has me watering if no one comes around there why would Evan want to build there?

3)Something is up with Evan, is it good or is it bad, that I don’t know. I am thinking about the title of the book and wondering if maybe it has something to do with how she losses time and feels like she is floating when she is near Evan..Hummm. But then again maybe it is a good thing.

Can’t wait to find out more..

    1. Oh you're so right! It could be something with that attraction thing with them. I was so caught up in thinking he was suspect I kind of didn't think about that.

    2. Thanks, Heather. So fun to see people's reactions as they go along!

    3. The place sounds like a great place to vacation, but not live, and I think that's why Evan wants to build there. At least that was my interpretation of things. Could be wrong though...he could be planning something evil instead. :)

  4. 1)I was thinking it is crazy fast. I mean he is like everywhere she looks and popping up everywhere. But I think Heather has a good point on it being something supernatural. (Just got Dean and Sam visions with that) haha

2)I had this instant horror movie flash, maybe I read to many horror novels, but I get the distinct impression that maybe the town attracts people, and everyone in it has a tie directly to what is going on with the town. I kind of felt that way about how the drunk got all protective about Sarah to. But I am all about conspiracies. haha

    3) I don't trust him yet. I am so like questioning everything he is going but I like bad boys so I am kind of into it.

  5. 1. Omg can you say stalker this is just way to fast and him showing up everywhere its creepy.
    2. I so thought of the movie Jason when I read that Camp Crystal Lake sent shivers down my back.
    3. I don't trust him at this time he just seems to much of a stalker to me.

  6. Sorry I didn't post last night, I was so sleepy :)

    1) I agree that I think the attraction between them is really fast, but in a sweep you off your feet kind of way. He's mysterious, which makes the attraction that much more interesting.

    2) I didn't think too much of Amber's comment about people only leaving. Small town citizens usually want to leave and experience things elsewhere, especially if there isn't alot going on where they are from.

    3) I'm not quite sure how I feel about trusting Evan just yet. He hasn't given any reason yet not to trust him, but at the same time, his mysteriously popping up and then the incident in the bar and him disappearing are quite questionable. It definitely seems like he is trying to hide something, but everyone has something they are hiding in their lives :)
